What is the Green Ambassadors programme?

It is our referral programme. You introduce someone to Tersus Energy, we take it from there, and you earn at every stage of their journey — points as it progresses, and cash when they sign for a system. Everything is tracked in your own dashboard so you always know where each referral stands.

Who can join?

Anyone 18 or over who lives in India and has a Google account to sign in with. You do not need to be a Tersus customer. Employees of Tersus Energy and their immediate families cannot take part, and neither can our existing channel partners or dealers, who are paid under their own agreements.

Does it cost anything?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no joining fee, no minimum number of referrals, and no notice to give if you stop. Photons you have already earned stay yours whether you refer one person a year or twenty.

How do I sign up?

Sign in with Google on the join page. That creates your account and mints your referral code on the spot. Before your first referral we will ask for your mobile number and for you to accept the programme terms — that takes a moment and it is what lets us pay you.

What are Photons?

Photons are the programme's points. You earn them at six points in a referral's journey: 100 ✦ when we verify the lead, 150 ✦ when we speak to them, 400 ✦ at the site survey, 750 ✦ when we issue a proposal, 2,500 ✦ when they sign, and 1,000 ✦ when the system is switched on — up to 4,900 ✦ from one referral. Your all-time total decides your tier.

Do Photons have any cash value?

No. Photons are a score. They set your tier, which sets how much cash each closed referral pays, but they cannot themselves be exchanged for money, goods or anything else. The cash reward is the money in this programme.

How much cash do I actually get?

Accepted Answer

Between ₹5,000 and ₹12,500 for each referral that signs for a system, depending on the tier you hold on the day the deal closes. Everyone starts at Spark on ₹5,000. Reaching Solaris takes 1,00,000 ✦ all-time.

When does the money arrive?

In two halves. 50% within 15 working days of the customer signing their agreement and paying their booking amount, and the rest within 15 working days of their system being commissioned. It is paid by bank transfer to an account in your own name.

Why is it split in two?

Accepted Answer

Because a small number of orders are cancelled between signing and installation. Paying half at each end means we can pay you early on every referral rather than making everybody wait for commissioning — and it means we are not clawing money back from you if an order falls through.

Question 10

Is tax deducted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A referral reward is commission income, so tax is deducted at source at the rate in force under the Income-tax Act, 1961, and you will need to give us your PAN. We issue the usual TDS certificate, which you can set against your own return. If in doubt, ask your accountant — we cannot give you tax advice.

What is a streak worth?

Get at least one referral verified in a calendar week and your streak grows. At two consecutive weeks everything you earn is multiplied by 1.1, at four by 1.25, and at eight by 1.5 — including on referrals you sent months ago that are still moving. Miss a week and we cover it for you once every three months, automatically.

What counts as a valid referral?

A named person or business, with a working mobile number, who has agreed to hear from us, who is not already in our pipeline, and who is not you or someone in your own household. That is the whole test. We verify each one before it earns anything.

What if two people refer the same person?

Accepted Answer

Whoever submitted first keeps it, for 90 days. If the lead goes cold and nothing has happened for 180 days, the attribution is released and somebody else can refer them again. If a referral you send comes back as a duplicate, nothing is held against you — send another.

Can I refer myself or my own family?

Accepted Answer

Not yourself, and not anyone in your own household — that is a discount on your own system, not a referral, and we would rather give you the discount directly. Family at a different address with a separate electricity connection is fine.

What if my referral never buys anything?

You keep everything it earned on the way. A referral that gets a proposal and then decides against it still leaves you 1,400 ✦. Photons are never taken back.

How long does a referral take?

A residential solar decision usually takes weeks rather than days — from first call to a signed agreement is commonly one to three months, and installation and commissioning add a few weeks after that. Your dashboard shows exactly which stage each one is at, so you are not left guessing.

Can I share my link publicly?

Share it with people who know you — that is the whole point of a referral. What you must not do is send unsolicited bulk messages, buy ads that bid on the Tersus Energy name, post it as spam, or imply you speak for the company. Doing any of those can cost you your rewards and your account.

Question 18

What do you show other people about me?

Accepted Answer

On the leaderboard, only the display name you choose — first name and an initial by default — your town, your tier and your Photon total. Never your email, your phone number, or anything about the people you have referred.

Question 19

What do you do with my referral's details?

Accepted Answer

We use them to contact the person about solar, and nothing else. They can ask us to delete their details at any time. You are confirming, each time you send one, that you have their permission to pass their number on — that obligation is yours, not ours.

Question 20

Can I leave?

Accepted Answer

Any time, with no notice. Write to ambassadors@tersusenergy.com and we will close your account. Anything already owed on a referral that has closed will still be paid.

Question 21

Something in my dashboard looks wrong. What do I do?

Write to ambassadors@tersusenergy.com with the referral's name and roughly when you sent it. We will check the record and come back to you. Our records are what we go on, but we would much rather find a mistake than defend one.
